Hailing originally from the Bay Area, JR and his wife, Stephanie, who manages the office, witnessed the influx of people moving to the central valley and recognized the opportunity to fulfill a growing need for quality moving services. Despite initial challenges, JR’s extensive industry experience and dedication enabled him to overcome obstacles and establish M&M Movers as a trusted provider in the region.

Starting in the industry at a young age, JR’s professional background spans from working for a small family-owned company to eventually managing nationwide operations. What initially began as a means to pay the bills evolved into a lifelong passion for mastering the intricacies of the trade and exploring new opportunities. From overseeing large-scale projects to fostering relationships with crew members, each experience shaped his journey and fueled his love for the road.

Receiving calls or reviews post moving day from clients raving on the experience they had with us is very rewarding,” JR said. One memorable experience is the first major job in Ruby Hill. “I was so excited (and stressed) to be picked by this family to do their move. I will never forget working till 2 am in order to get the move complete!” JR said the family still calls to this day to deliver furniture.

Family and Success: The True Measure

JR and Stephanie’s own family keeps them busy, too. Four boys and two girls (one is on the way) - including a son in the Navy, a daughter in college, and a high schooler who works part-time with JR - keep the Huizars on their toes. When not working, JR likes to go to car shows with the boys and attend Raiders games.

Ultimately, JR’s definition of success goes beyond financial gains or material possessions. “It's seeing my family doing well, and the reputation I have built for myself with dedication and hard work,” JR said. “Having friends and family brag about me being a 5-star business owner, that is my success!”
